Serena, the latest Descendant in The First Descendant, has arrived, and her popularity is undeniable. Players are eager to unlock her, though acquiring new characters typically involves either completing in-game challenges or purchasing her directly.
Start the <Sigma Sector> Traces of the Vulgus Fleet Quest
Upon logging in, you’ll automatically receive a new quest called Traces of the Vulgus Fleet in the Sigma Sector.
Expect 45–90 minutes to complete it, depending on whether you skip or watch the cutscenes and dialogue.
Complete Sigma Sector Dropoff Operation
The quest introduces you to Sigma Sector Dropoff Operation missions.
These missions feature large enemy waves (like 400% dungeons) plus a timed objective (similar to Void Erosion Purge).
Fully complete the quest to unlock both versions of Sigma Sector Dropoff Operation.
Farm for Serena’s Blueprint Parts
Once unlocked, you’ll need to repeatedly run these new Sigma Sector missions to collect Serena’s blueprint parts.
Important: Serena’s parts can’t be set as Target Rewards, so you must rely on random drops until you get everything.
You’ll naturally earn enough crafting resources (like Veildust, dropped by enemies with yellow health bars) during the process to build her once you have all the blueprints and Code.
Buy Serena from the In-Game Market (Optional)
If you don’t want to farm, Serena can be purchased in the market for 900 Caliber.
This works out to about $20 USD (the smallest purchase bundle that covers 900 Caliber).
Additional bundles with boosters are also available at a higher cost.
