With Monster Hunter Wilds barely a few weeks old, Capcom has confirmed its first free title update is on the way – and there’s a lot more to come. Teasing fresh additions like the fan-favorite Mizutsune, the game’s top creative minds also hinted at broader content drops and exciting developments for the series as a whole.
First Updates Arriving Soon
In a new video message, producer Ryozo Tsujimoto announced that the first free title update will land in April, followed by another one set for the summer. “It’s only been a few weeks since Wilds launched, but we’re already working on title updates,” he shared, encouraging players to stay tuned for more details.
Listening to Player Feedback
Director Yuya Tokuda explained that the team is actively gathering player input and will keep iterating on the game with both planned updates and surprise patches. “We’ve been gathering player feedback, including a number of surveys, and will continue making adjustments not only in the planned title updates but also in updates released at other times,” he said.
More Than Just Announced Updates
Art director Kaname Fujioka added that fans can expect more than just what has already been announced. “We have lots in store, both already announced updates and some we’re still working on, and we’re doing our best to make the game as enjoyable as possible for everyone,” he teased.

Tsujimoto wrapped up the discussion by hinting that the community’s excitement should extend beyond Monster Hunter Wilds alone. “There is so much more in store, not just for Wilds but for the series as a whole,” he promised. With that in mind, it seems like now is the perfect time to sharpen those blades and gear up for the coming hunts. The devs’ commitment to new content, fan-focused adjustments, and ongoing improvements means there’s plenty on the horizon for hunters everywhere.
