Capcom has just unveiled details about the first free Title Update for its hit action RPG, Monster Hunter Wilds, set to launch on April 4, 2025. Coming to PS5 (with PS5 Pro Enhanced support), Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam, this massive update introduces the fan-favorite leviathan Mizutsune, a new Grand Hub social space, challenging Arch-tempered monsters, fresh gear, and much more.
Mizutsune & Arch-Tempered Rey Dau
- Mizutsune returns from Monster Hunter Rise and brings its slippery bubble attacks to the Forbidden Lands. Hunters at HR 21+ can speak to Kanya in the Scarlet Forest to take on this graceful yet deadly beast, while HR 41+ players can find a Tempered version roaming the wilds.
- Arch-tempered Rey Dau makes its formidable debut in an Event Quest for HR 50+ hunters, offering a tougher challenge and brand-new Rey Dau Gamma armor to forge.
New Quests and Events
- Arena Quests, Challenge Quests, and Free Challenge Quests debut in Title Update 1.
- Challenge Quests and Free Challenge Quests are limited-time Event Quests; Arena and Challenge Quests come with preset gear, while Free Challenge Quests have no equipment restrictions for up to four players.
- Keep an eye out for new Event Quests offering special armor, cooking ingredients, and ways to level up your Hunter Rank.
Grand Hub Gathering Area
- Hunters at HR 16+ can unlock the new Grand Hub, a massive space filled with activities like the Barrell Bowling minigame, nightly songs by the Diva, and various squad management features.
- Seasonal festivities will transform the Grand Hub’s look, starting with the Festival of Accord: Blossomdance (April 23 – May 7), bringing unique gear, items, and limited-time Event Quests.
Fresh Customizations
- A free handler outfit for Alma arrives with Title Update 1, letting you change her glasses after completing a side quest.
- Classic gestures return as free DLC, and the Cosmetic DLC Pack 1 will provide new vanity items, Camp Gear, and more for hunters and Palicos alike.
Future Updates
- Another update is planned for late May, featuring a special collaboration, Endemic Life display options, and additional adjustments. A second free Title Update is scheduled for this summer, so stay tuned.
