Kuro Games has officially released its Wuthering Waves version 2.2 update, titled Tangled Truth in Inverted Tower, which is now live across all current platforms and—most notably—MacOS. The award-winning RPG, already praised for its stunning visuals and intricate storyline, garnered extra attention recently when Apple CEO Tim Cook experienced an offline play session and commended the team’s use of Apple technologies to provide “incredibly immersive experiences.” In his own words, “Wuthering Waves is coming to Mac on Thursday!”
As part of the version 2.2 rollout, Kuro Games conducted maintenance on March 27, 2025, from 04:00 to 11:00 (UTC+8). Players are eligible to receive Astrite x300 and Crystal Solvent x2 as maintenance compensation if they created a character and unlocked the Mails feature before the maintenance start time. If maintenance extends beyond the scheduled window, additional compensation will be adjusted accordingly. A separate Astrite x300 is also offered for bug fixes to those who meet the same eligibility requirements.
The update brings two new 5-Star Resonators:
- Cantarella (Havoc/Rectifier): Known as the Bane and the current head of Fisalia, this mysterious noblewoman wields venomous illusions. She specializes in support and healing, boosting Concerto efficiency, Basic Attack DMG, Havoc DMG amplification, and more. Cantarella can be obtained through the [Neptune’s Lullaby] Featured Resonator Convene.
- Rover – Aero (Aero/Sword): Rover gains an Aero attribute for balanced play, capable of dishing out Aero DMG and healing allies via Eye of Tempest. Players must complete [Main Quest] Chapter II Act IV “The Maiden, The Defier, The Death Crier” to unlock Rover – Aero’s potential.
Two 5-Star Weapons are also introduced:
- Whispers of Sirens (Rectifier), a sea-inspired armament available from the [Absolute Pulsation – Whispers of Sirens] Featured Weapon Convene.
- Bloodpact’s Pledge (Sword), a symbol of unbreakable loyalty and fierce resolve that can be acquired upon finishing [Main Quest] Chapter II Act IV “The Maiden, The Defier, The Death Crier.”
In addition, two new regions expand the game’s world:
- Avinoleum, once a renowned theological seminary of Rinascita, now drifting within an endless cloudscape, holding ancient grandeur and hidden secrets.
- Beohr Waters, a sacred land turned somber after the fall of Avinoleum’s glory, where strange oracles and buried destinies still linger. Both areas become accessible during [Main Quest] Chapter II Act IV “The Maiden, The Defier, The Death Crier.”
